This is wire feedstock for fastener forming — not a guarantee that every nail or staple geometry can be produced from it. Your forming method, upset ratio, bend radius, cutting, point forming and coating-damage tolerance determine the grade we recommend. Some fasteners are formed from uncoated wire and galvanized afterward, while others use pre-galvanized feedstock; we ask you to identify the process so we can confirm whether coating mass and adhesion remain acceptable after forming. Approved grades are defined by fastener type and diameter and then validated for cracking, bend, upset and coating adhesion on your machine.

Tensile Strength

Confirmed feedstock runs about 800–1150 MPa, split into approved grades by fastener type and diameter and validated on your equipment. Lower-carbon grades may need a different tensile/ductility window than staple wire, and we add elongation, reduction-of-area or practical heading/bend tests where you control them.

ASTM A641/A641M covers general galvanized carbon steel wire and includes supplementary requirements for wire from which nails and staples are formed; we cite the ordered standard and class after confirming size, coating and temper. We do not imply that pre-galvanized wire suits every nail process. Every batch is produced under an ISO 9001 quality management system and can ship with a mill test certificate covering diameter, tensile strength and zinc-coating weight. Third-party or pre-shipment inspection (SGS, BV or customer-appointed) is available on request.
