Zhongbo supplies steel-wire inputs and selected strand products for wire-rope, cabling and reinforcement manufacturers. This hub helps a technical buyer choose the correct product family before requesting a quotation.
Zhongbo does not present itself as a manufacturer of finished steel wire rope. Each family below is supplied as wire or strand against a confirmed diameter or construction, tensile/breaking-load class, coating, test method, reel and standard — with samples, mill test data and customer validation before production use.

Information to include in an RFQ
- Product family: finished rope wire, redrawing wire or finished strand
- Nominal wire or strand diameter and tolerance
- For strand: construction, individual-wire diameter, lay direction and lay length
- Tensile class or minimum breaking load, with test method
- Bright, galvanized or Zn-Al finish and coating class/mass
- Reverse-bend, torsion, ductility and surface-defect requirements
- Applicable standard, edition and quality designation
- Reel type, reel dimensions, unit weight, winding pattern and pay-off speed
- Sample/trial quantity, annual demand, destination and inspection requirements
Standards and acceptance
ISO 2232 and EN 10264-2 can be relevant to individual non-alloy steel wire for rope manufacture, but a finished strand or complete rope can require a different standard. The order must identify the exact product level, end use, standard part/edition, quality class and test plan — no single rope-wire standard is used as a blanket claim for every wire, strand and rope application.

Does Zhongbo manufacture finished steel wire rope?
No. Zhongbo supplies steel-wire and strand inputs for wire-rope, cabling and reinforcement manufacturers — it does not design, close, lubricate and test complete finished ropes. We point buyers to the correct input product (rope wire, redrawing wire or strand) for their process.
What is the difference between patented redrawing wire and finished rope wire?
Patented redrawing wire is an intermediate condition intended for additional drawing to a smaller or higher-strength wire. Finished rope wire is supplied at its ordered final diameter and mechanical class, ready for stranding.
Which tensile classes can you supply?
We publish and offer a tensile class only once it is confirmed by diameter, grade, heat-treatment route and test results — not as a blanket catalogue claim. Send the applicable wire standard and ductility requirement and we will confirm what we can supply.
Which standard should I specify?
It depends on whether the order is for individual rope wire, finished strand or a complete rope, and on the end use. ISO 2232 and EN 10264-2 can apply to individual non-alloy rope wire, but strand and finished rope can require different standards. Include the exact standard part, edition and designation in the RFQ.
Can a trial reel be supplied?
Yes — after the reel, winding, test and acceptance details are agreed, so the trial condition can be repeated in production.
