Tensile Strength
The confirmed tensile range is about 950–1150 MPa across the 0.50, 0.75, 0.78 and 0.90 mm sizes, tied to your forming method and the stiffness the finished seal needs. Yield strength, elongation, bending or springback data are added where you use those properties and we can test them consistently, so the mechanical values describe the wire’s real forming behaviour.
Features
- Fine diameter control for consistent reinforcement geometry
- Stable tensile strength and springback for profile-forming operations
- Smooth surface compatible with your extrusion or carrier process
- Controlled cast, straightness and spool winding for continuous pay-off
- Custom round, flattened or profiled section where manufacturing is verified
- Batch identification and dimensional/mechanical inspection records
Packaging & Shipping
We work to your spool drawing — flange diameter, barrel diameter, traverse width, bore, net weight, winding direction, wire-end location and whether level winding is required. Fine wire is protected from crushing, moisture and loose ends.
- Small or medium precision spools
- Returnable reels approved by the customer
- Palletized cartons or crates with moisture barrier
- Custom labels showing size/profile, heat, batch and net weight
Use cases
- Door and body weatherstrip reinforcement
- Window or trunk sealing-profile reinforcement where specified
- Metal carrier or wire insert used in extruded rubber profiles
- Other continuous sealing profiles with equivalent drawing requirements
Who it is for
Automotive weatherstrip manufacturers, rubber-extrusion companies, seal-carrier producers and Tier suppliers that need fine wire with controlled geometry and continuous pay-off.
Standards, certificates & inspection
Your profile/wire drawing and approved sample are the controlling documents; general dimensional and test-method references apply where contractually relevant. We make no rubber-adhesion, corrosion-life or OEM-approval claim without your test evidence. Every batch is produced under an ISO 9001 quality management system and can ship with a mill test certificate covering diameter, tensile strength and zinc-coating weight. Third-party or pre-shipment inspection (SGS, BV or customer-appointed) is available on request.
See test reports & inspection and quality control & testing for the full documentation.
Frequently asked questions
Is this round wire or flat/profile wire?
Round wire is standard; a flattened or profiled section is supplied where the manufacturing route is verified — specified by width × thickness, edge condition, cross-sectional tolerance and a profile drawing.
Can you supply a specific discrete size?
Discrete sizes are confirmed after production verifies the finished tolerance and spool format for your drawing.
What tensile strength is available?
We publish an approved range by size after our own testing, tied to your forming method and the stiffness the finished seal requires.
Can the wire be supplied oil-free?
Surface cleanliness, residual lubricant and corrosion protection are agreed up front because they affect downstream bonding or extrusion.
What is needed for a quote?
The wire/profile drawing, material and finish, mechanical limits, spool drawing, net weight, annual volume and validation requirements.
