Steel Wire for Industrial Brushes and Brooms (0.45–2.0 mm)
- Diameter range: 0.45–2.0 mm (Zhongbo legacy range)
- Sold by stiffness/mechanical class and material grade — a soft general-brush wire and a high-stiffness filament wire are different products
- Controlled diameter, straightness and cast for consistent brush filling
- Bright or galvanized finish where approved; coating adhesion checked for crimping/anchoring
- Coils, spools, straightened lengths or crimped filament where the capability is confirmed

Mechanical variants
| Variant | Tensile range | Material |
|---|---|---|
| General brush / broom wire | 700–900 MPa | Low/medium-carbon |
| High-stiffness filament wire | 1900–2100 MPa | High-carbon |
Tensile Strength
We tie tensile to brush stiffness, bend radius and fatigue, not a single number: a general brush/broom grade at about 700–900 MPa, or a high-stiffness high-carbon filament at about 1900–2100 MPa (see the table above). Very high-tensile wire is less tolerant of sharp forming or repeated bending, so we confirm the grade and coating adhesion for the class you need.
Features
- Mechanical classes matched to brush stiffness and forming needs
- Controlled diameter, straightness and cast
- Bright or galvanized finish where approved
- Spool, coil or straight-length formats
- Surface/coating adhesion considered during crimping and anchoring
- Trial material and batch traceability
Packaging & Shipping
We confirm whether you use coils, spools, straightened cut lengths or pre-crimped filament. For spools we list geometry and winding; for straight lengths we state length range/tolerance, straightness, bundle count and end condition.
- Coils or precision spools
- Straightened cut lengths after capability confirmation
- Crimped filament only where we perform the operation
- Palletized bundles or reels
Use cases
- Industrial cleaning and surface-treatment brushes
- Brooms and sweeping tools
- Tube, wheel, strip or hand brushes after grade validation
- Brush-filament conversion and cut-length processing
Who it is for
Industrial brush manufacturers, broom/tool producers, filament converters and hardware distributors.
Standards, certificates & inspection
Your brush drawing and conversion test control. We supply wire, not the complete brush assembly, and imply no suitability for high-speed rotating brushes, food equipment or hazardous environments without your design and safety validation. Every batch is produced under an ISO 9001 quality management system and can ship with a mill test certificate covering diameter, tensile strength and zinc-coating weight. Third-party or pre-shipment inspection (SGS, BV or customer-appointed) is available on request.
See test reports & inspection and quality control & testing for the full documentation.
Frequently asked questions
Why are there different tensile ranges?
A soft general-brush wire and a high-stiffness filament wire are different products; we publish them as separate verified variants rather than one blended range.
Can you supply straight cut lengths?
Yes, once length, tolerance, straightness, bundle and end condition are confirmed.
Is galvanized coating suitable for crimped brushes?
It is tested for flaking and adhesion during your forming and anchoring process before we confirm it.
Which grade is best for rotating brushes?
Your brush designer selects the wire grade, diameter and safety factor; we do not make a generic recommendation without speed/load data.
